Can any wheel take a 9t freewheel? How can you tell?
If i was to calculate the gear ratio of different gears on my mountain bike would i be able to get a bit of an idea of the difference in feel or do you think it wouldn’t really transfer over? Devon Smillie – Fuego Promo.

I really appreciate all the help that I’ve gotten from everybody on freewheep site, I’ve ridden mtb for years and the community sense is nothing like this. Or is it brand compatible? I’m looking at rear wheels to buy because I already have a front wheel ready but I’m super confused with picking one that will be compatible with a smaller toothed freewheel.

Some drivers might fit other hubs but a lot of factors go into that freewheels, what I assume you have, are larger and thread onto the hubshell on the outside and only go as low as 13t 12t uncommonly though and most of the time don ‘t include a freewheel these handy photos courtesy of Vital will be helpful in explaining for visual aid so, you CAN’T put a driver on a freewheel hub but you can put a cassette hub on the wheel you currently have Daniel Dhers Goes Titanium 3.
