Depending on how long I play. Nvidia driver updates always scare me. I had already lost hope.
So do you do this while the game is “up”? Forgetting to do that is a memory leak. I have 4gigs of RAM and that isn’t a problem. Mine had the normal DayZ crash, but now is stuck in a boot, crash series. And I am not that type of user that gives up at the first problem.
Now with patch 1. The following sections list the important changes and the most common issues resolved since version I tried twice but both times it simply failed to install.

335.233 game would still be going with sounds and stuff still going, but no screen. In around 3 hours of play only 1 crash. Ok, I completed a system restore to a week ago but I still have crashes. I had one crash last night after installing to the new drivers.

Definetely a bigger problem that is causing this. I guess I’m lucky.
Looks like no DayZ for a while then. What kind of crashes? I actually just installed it 2 minutes before reading this thread. Try down-clocking your card to make sure The update probably doesn’t affect laptop GPUs. The crash dump tells them where exactly the problem happened usuallyand it’s usually pretty easy to pinpoint the problem.
I’ve gotten an ‘update’ message recently and I’ve just ignored it. Last night I reinstalled clean install the previous driver and that fixed the problem. Sometimes my game “stops responding” at the exact same time as my buddy.
The crash would occur immediately once we connected to the server, and we would need to keep doing this until we were away from whatever was causing the crash. I’ve noticed a few issues with GFE updating my drivers while steam was open.
